Description

Josiah Nelson’s mandolin style is modern and energetic and incorporates inspiration from all eras of bluegrass. He has been playing professionally for most of the last decade starting with cowboy dinner theaters and more recently playing mandolin with the Tray Wellington Band. A recent graduate of ETSU’s bluegrass program, Josiah Nelson is setting out to blaze his own musical trail.

In the mandolin chop workshop, I will cover ways to improve your rhythm, how to think about rhythm contextually in order to fill different rhythmic roles, and introduce rhythm techniques that go beyond the simple Mandolin chop.
